Old stuff about Mesopotamia

Hello junior scribes today you need to go to scribe school. Welcome to school and anyway I am going to talk about Mesopotamia. Mesopotamia is one of the oldest civilizations in the world. Mesopotamia was discovered with its beautiful treasures and some suspicious items and words. After the scientists looked at the words they figured what it was called.

Like I was saying if you were a scribe you were very special and lucky. Also you would probably be a boy to be in the school and your father would have to be tight friends with the king in order for you to go. Wow that would take a long time to be friends with the king. When you got there you would probably have to go to the river and get lots of clay to write on. Then you would write cuneiform. Cuneiform is a series of lines and wedges.

All hail king Sargon, All hail king Sargon. Okay you can stop now, King Sargon was a kingand he was a great leader. If you read about ancient Egypt you would know who united all of Egypt. Well king Sargon united all of Mesopotamia. That was one of the famous king. Now another famous king ,king Hammurabii. King Hammurabii made one of the first codes of laws. Isn’t that cool.
mesopotamis was a good civilization and also was a good city but some how the civilization died out and never grew back. The treasures were still left but not any key to the weird writing when they found it. Today scientists are still trying to figure out how the city died. But that’s it readers.

Payton: Try to give the reader a hint that the writing is over.
